This online, self-paced course by the Canadian Red Cross will equip you with the essential knowledge needed to respond to an opioid poisoning emergency. You will learn:

• How to recognize the signs and symptoms of opioid poisoning
• What naloxone is and how it works
• How to confidently administer naloxone (intranasal and intramuscular)
• The impact of opioids and naloxone on the body
• Ways to reduce stigma associated with opioid use
• Introduction to CPR in opioid emergencies

After completing the online modules and passing the knowledge checks, you will receive a Canadian Red Cross certificate of completion. This course is designed for anyone 16 years of age and older, with no prerequisites required.
