Policies — Cancellation, Refund & Transfers
Thank you for registering with Rural Rescue Training. We value the time and commitment our participants bring to their training and ask that the same consideration be given to our instructors, staff, and scheduling processes. The following policies are in place to ensure fairness, consistency, and a positive training experience for everyone involved. When you register for a course with us, you are agreeing to the following policies for cancellations, refunds, and transfers. Policies may vary slightly by course type — please review carefully before booking.

General Registration Policy
Rural Rescue Training reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course at our discretion. Courses may be cancelled or rescheduled due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances, such as extreme weather. You will be notified by email as soon as we are aware of any changes. If the affected course was the original course you registered for and rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be issued. If you were enrolled in the course due to a previous transfer or rescheduling you requested, you will be offered the option to transfer to another available course rather than receive a refund.

1. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change. However, scheduling instructors, training spaces, and equipment requires advance planning — which is why cancellations must be requested in writing.

Standard Courses (Standard First Aid, Emergency First Aid, BLS, CPR & AED, Recertifications):

  • Cancellations received more than 5 business days before the class start date are eligible for a full refund, less 20% administration fee + HST. 

  • Cancellations within 5 business days of the class start date are not eligible for refunds or transfers.

  • No-shows will not be refunded.

Professional Responder Courses (FR/EMR/Bridge) & Instructor Courses:
  • Cancellations received more than 10 business days before the class start date are eligible for a full refund, less 20% administration fee + HST. 
  • Cancellations within 6-10 business days of the class start date are eligible for a 50% refund, + HST. 

  • Cancellations within 5 business days of the class start date are not eligible for refunds or transfers.

  • No-shows will not be refunded.

Youth Courses:
  • Cancellations received more than 5 business days before the class start date are eligible for a full refund, less 20% administration fee + HST. 

  • Cancellations within 5 business days of the class start date are not eligible for refunds or transfers.

  • No-shows will not be refunded.

Online Courses: 
  • No refunds or transfers. All online courses are final sale.

2. Transfers / Rescheduling

We want you to be able to attend a course that fits your schedule.

  • Transfers to another training date are subject to availability and will incur a $15 transfer fee + HST.

  • Transfer requests within 5 business days of the class date are not accepted.

  • If the cost of the new date is higher than your original booking, the difference will be payable at the time of transfer.

  • No-shows will not be transferred.

3. How to Request Cancellations, Refunds, or Transfers

To request a cancellation or transfer:

  • Email us at sanreet@ruralrescuetraining.com

  • Include your full name, course name/date, and order number

  • Requests will be acknowledged in writing; please save your confirmation.

Refunds will be processed and issued back to the original payment method once approved.
