Become a Certified Canadian Red Cross Instructor with Rural Rescue

Our Canadian Red Cross Instructor Development Transfer Courses are designed for professionals who already have instructional experience and want to transition into becoming a certified Canadian Red Cross Instructor. This streamlined process allows qualified individuals to leverage their existing knowledge while gaining Red Cross certification.

Who Can Take This Course?

You are eligible if you fall under one of the following categories:

Current First Aid Instructors with another recognized organization.
Current Safety Instructor (NFPA, etc.) with certification in Standard First Aid.
Certified Teachers (holding an Education degree) with current Standard First Aid.

Course Overview

Candidates will work with Canadian Red Cross instructional resources and may have pre- and post-course requirements to complete their certification. All instructor courses follow Canadian Red Cross Guidelines, and successful participants will receive a Canadian Red Cross Instructor Certificate valid for 3 years.

Skills Checklists & Evaluation

To become an Instructor with the Canadian Red Cross, all candidates must complete a skills evaluation prior to the Instructor course. Each program has specific skill checklists that must be submitted and successfully completed without coaching.
