Blended Intermediate/Standard First Aid Course | Canadian Red Cross

Locations & Times:

Orangeville Location: Georgian College; 22 Centennial Rd, Orangeville, ON L9W 1P8 

Shelburne Location: Turn It Out Dance Studio; 209 Main St E, Shelburne, ON L9V 3K4

Mono Location: Dufferin Board of Trade; 246372 Hockley Rd, Mono, ON L9W 6K4

Time: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Course Format:
This is a blended course, consisting of:

  1. Mandatory Online Component*: Approx. 8 hours of self-paced learning.
  2. In-Person Practical Session: 5.5–7.5 hours of hands-on training.

*Online component must be completed before classroom session.*

Who Should Take This Course?
Perfect for individuals who require first aid and CPR certification for work or who want to be prepared to respond to emergencies at home. Meets all provincial/territorial workplace safety requirements.

Course Content Includes:

  • Responding to emergencies (Check, Call, Care)
  • Airway, breathing, and circulation emergencies
  • Respiratory and cardiac arrest (includes AED training)
  • Wound care, head/spine injuries, and bone/muscle injuries
  • Sudden medical and environmental emergencies
  • Poisoning (including opioid poisoning awareness)

Certification:

  • 3-year certification in Standard First Aid, CPR Level A or C, and AED
  • Digital certificate issued upon successful completion

Course Completion Requirements:

  • 100% attendance and participation
  • Demonstration of all required skills
  • Minimum 75% passing grade on written exam
