This intensive two-day course is designed for outdoor enthusiasts, guides, search & rescue volunteers, backcountry workers, and community members who may find themselves far from immediate medical assistance. Students will learn to assess, stabilize, and manage injuries and illnesses in wilderness and remote settings, make evacuation decisions, and provide extended care when help is delayed.

Schedule / Format:

Day 1 (8:30 am – 5:00 pm)

Includes indoor instruction, outdoor scenario training, hands-on practice

Written and practical evaluation / certification
What to Bring / What’s Included:

Bring clothing suitable for outdoor work (layers, waterproof outerwear, boots)

Validity: certificate is valid for 3 years; refresher recommended

Minimum 8 students needed; courses may be postponed / rescheduled if minimum not met

A non-refundable deposit (25%)

Cancellation policy: more than 14 days — full refund (minus deposit); 7–14 days — 50% refund (minus deposit; <7 days — no refund (or credit toward future course)
