Terms of Service

Last updated: October 15, 2026

These Terms of Service apply when you use the Rural Rescue Inc. website, register for training, request services or purchase products. By using our services, you agree to these terms and to the policies linked on our website.

Training registration and eligibility

You are responsible for choosing the course, certification level and delivery format required by your employer, school, regulator or professional body. Some programs have prerequisites, minimum ages, attendance requirements, physical skills, assessments or recertification windows. Registration does not guarantee successful completion or certification.

Participants must attend the required portions of a course, arrive on time, participate safely and successfully complete applicable knowledge and skills assessments. An instructor may remove or decline to certify a participant who does not meet program requirements or whose conduct creates a safety concern.

Third-party programs and certification

Some training is delivered under standards established by organizations such as the Canadian Red Cross or Heart & Stroke. Course names, prerequisites, content, fees, certification rules and validity periods may change when those organizations update their programs. The current issuing body's requirements govern certification.

Youth programs

A parent or guardian must provide accurate registration and emergency-contact information and any required consent for a minor participant. Age ranges and supervision arrangements vary by program and must be followed.

Bookings, prices and payment

Prices are in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise and applicable taxes may be added. Public registrations are confirmed when payment is received. Corporate, private, custom and group work may require a signed quote, deposit, minimum billing amount or final payment according to the quote or invoice. We may correct pricing or listing errors and may decline or cancel an order where information is materially incorrect, with an appropriate refund where payment has been taken.

Cancellations, transfers, refunds, deposits and no-shows are governed by our Refund, Cancellation & Transfer Policy and by any additional written terms in a quote or booking confirmation.

Products and online orders

Product images and descriptions are provided as accurately as reasonably possible, but packaging, colours and individual kit components may change because of supplier availability. Where a substitution is required, we aim to use an item of comparable function and quality. Products must be used, maintained and stored according to their instructions and intended purpose.

First aid and safety products

First aid kits and safety products support preparedness; they do not replace training, professional judgment, emergency services or medical care. Customers are responsible for selecting products appropriate to their risks, checking contents, monitoring expiry dates, replacing used or damaged supplies and keeping products accessible and stored correctly.

Workplace kits and regulatory responsibility

Workplace requirements vary by jurisdiction, workforce, hazards and work location. Product descriptions and recommendations are general information. The purchaser remains responsible for confirming current legal and workplace requirements, choosing the correct kit type and quantity, conducting inspections and maintaining required supplies and records.

Custom and branded work

You are responsible for approving spelling, logos, artwork, quantities and specifications before custom production begins. Approval authorizes us to proceed. Custom, branded and specially sourced products may be final sale and may require deposits or staged payments.

Website use and intellectual property

Website content, course materials, photographs, graphics, brand elements and downloadable resources belong to Rural Rescue Inc. or their respective owners. They may not be copied, sold, republished or used commercially without written permission, except where law permits.

Third-party services and links

Our website and services may rely on Shopify, payment processors, course providers, certification bodies, carriers and other third parties. Their services, availability and terms are outside our direct control. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience and do not make us responsible for their content or practices.

Safety, emergencies and limitation

Website and course information is educational and is not a substitute for emergency medical care or advice from an appropriate regulated professional. In an emergency, contact 911 or the appropriate emergency service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rural Rescue Inc. is not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the website, delayed third-party services, misuse of a product or failure to follow training or product instructions. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these terms to reflect changes in our services, programs or legal obligations. The current version will be posted on this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada.
